10 Must’s for your Travel Beauty Bag

  1. Sunscreen for your face is very important. It took me to long to realize, but it’s never to late to start using it. I love the 30 spf Sun Bum roll on sticks. It smells like banana! It is also small and solid so great for a carry-on suitcase or to keep in your purse.
  2. Have you ever tried a solid shampoo? I just started using one by LUSH and love it! It bubbles up more than you’d think, is less than 20 bucks and lasts for 90 washes. Again, this is great for a carry-on because it’s solid.                                                      02008
  3. My “can’t live without it” moisturizer is Clinique Moisture Surge lotion. I am so in love with it. A little goes a long way so you can buy the trial size and it will last for one month using morning and night.
  4. Take a mini-OPI nail polish. I love the “take ten” trial package which has all my favorites. Great for taking in to manicure places in Asia that have bad polish and charge double to use their OPI. Saves you money and takes up hardly any space.          DSC_0679__45863.1409587993.1280.1280
  5. When it comes to hair, it’s all about being natural while you travel. I love Bumble and Bumble surf spray. A trial size lasts for a month if you use it every other day. Don’t use daily as it’s quite drying.
  6. Conditioner is important when you travel as flights will dry your skin and hair. LUSH makes a solid, or if you’re blonde, I LOVE the John Frieda conditioner to keep highlights light. Great for in between touch ups.
  7. I don’t use BB Cream often, but for a big night out I love the Boscia brand. It’s lightweight and has sunscreen in it. I’m all about creamy makeup instead of powder because it looks more dewy. I like cream blushes and gel ones, like the ones with argan oil by Josei Maran. Great for your skin and can be used on your lips too.
  8. Benefit makes a small trial size bronzing highlighter. I take it everywhere and love putting it on my cheekbones- very Kim Kardashian, ha ha! But it really does look great.
  9. I don’t use bronzer if I travel somewhere sunny, but if I go to the UK or somewhere a bit cloudy I like to use the Sephora brand “bora bora” bronzer. It’s less expensive than the other name brands but works just as well and isn’t too sparkly.
  10. Lastly, lip gloss and lip stick. I am obsessed! A few of my favorites are NARS “turkish delight” lipgloss which is a light pink and is very sticky, a very light pink lipstick by Smashbox (all time favorite) called “pout”, and any of the sheer YSL lipsticks- they are expensive but feel amazing, look amazing, and make your lips softer. If you use bright color lipstick in a warm place, I recommend buying STILA lip primer (clear) rather than lip liners to match each lipstick. It will hold it on in the heat and humidity.
